More about the series
Sakıp Sabancı Center for Turkish Studies offers a series of conversations on Turkish Cinema during the academic year 2021-2022. Bringing eminent film critics, writers, scholars, and filmmakers together, the conversations will focus on critically acclaimed films, highlighting their global significance and their power to portray Turkey's realities. The three films to be discussed in the Fall semester reflect the socio-cultural and political predicaments of Turkey since the 1960s and represent its rich cinematographic tradition.
